ABOUT

 For the last 20 years I have worked with a wide range of students and teams, from preschool through middle school,  as a primary focus for intervention and support.  My belief is that all children are capable of growing and learning how to be productive, responsible, and capable with the right level of connection, intervention, and support.  Our beliefs guide our practice, and children learn to regulate their behavior by anticipating, observing, and feeling strong and safe connections and responses from adults around them.  I have helped teams plan and safely approach challenging behavior through Handle With Care, Inc. training for over 20 years.  Through training, consultation, and supervision I have worked hard to create a culture and practice that takes care of our students emotional well-being, while protecting them from the consequences of their own behavior during times of crisis.

 

We TEACH our students how to BEHAVE by what we ALLOW, what we CORRECT, what we IGNORE, and what we REINFORCE.
